Woods' Homerun Lifts Bethany Over Thiel

Bethany, W. Va - The Bethany College baseball team took on the Thiel Tomcats in a nine inning PAC contest at Bethany Park Sunday afternoon. The Bison won in walk off fashion from a Neil Woods 2-Run homerun.  

Game  Overview

Bethany edged Thiel, 6-5.  

The Bison took a 3-0 lead in the first and second inning. In the first inning, the green and white had runners on first and third. Noah Rady stole second giving Ethan Young the opportunity to steal home. In the second inning, Bethany scored two more runs off of a Brandon Wagner double. Thiel plated a run in the third to cut the Bison lead, 3-1. The Bison answered in the bottom half of the inning, from a Ryan Anselmino single that scored Tyler Frazee. Thiel battled back and tied the game at 4-4 and took the lead in the eighth inning. The Bison wouldn't give up though. In the ninth, the Bison battled to get runners on. Noah Rady reached on a fielder's choice with Neil Woods up next. Neil Woods took the pitch yard giving the Bison the walk off win.
