Bethany Places Third; Smith 4th at Golden Eagle Invite

New Philadelphia, Ohio – The men's team traveled to Oak Shadows Golf Club to compete in the Golden Eagles Invitational held by Kent State Tuscarawus. The men brought two teams, with the "A Team" finishing top three. Conference foes Waynesburg and Geneva finished one and two.

Jude Smith tied four fourth in the individual tournament, ending the day shooting a 79. He was the leader for Bethany.

One stroke behind was Payton Hildebrand, who shot an 80. Sam Phillips (86), Nash Hays (89), and Lincoln Pablo chimed in to pencil in a team score of 334. 

The Bethany "B Team" consisted of Colby Vega, Preston Lindsay, Cooper Poe, Macen Benderman, and Quinn Phillipi who all combined for a 375 team score. They finished last among entered teams.

Bethany has a quick turnaround, getting back on the greens Monday, Sept 23 for another invitational at Geneva. The invitational will consist of two men's teams. First tee time is set for 1pm.
