Smith Earns Rookie of the Week Honors

Greenville, Pa (April. 1) – Bethany College lacrosse player Andrew Smith (Erie, Pa. | McDowell) was announced as Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Rookie of the week for his performance last week.

On Saturday, Smith picked up his fourth win of the season against Franciscan for the first PAC match of the season. He tallied 19 saves in the 11-9 victory, with 12 of his saves coming in the second half. Smith also scooped up three ground balls. He currently ranks first in the PAC with a .613 save percentage and 14.71 saves per match. His 10.00 goals against average ranks second in the PAC.

The weekly laurel is the first for Smith.
