Thrash Earns PAC Weekly Honors

Greenville, Pa (April. 1) – Bethany College men's tennis player Rhone Thrash (Parkersburg, W.Va. | Parkersburg South) was announced as Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the week for his performance last week.

Last week, Thrash helped the Bison extend their win streak to seven. He competed in the No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles. Against Marietta, he battled back from a 7-5 first set loss to win his second and third sets, 6-2 and 6-0. In PAC play against Geneva and Waynesburg, he went 6-2, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-0. Thrash and his doubles partner Raj Vijayarajah defeated their competitors 8-5 (Marietta), 8-4 (Geneva), and 8-7 over Waynesburg. Thrash and Vijayarajah are 6-0 at No. 2 doubles this spring, while Thrash sits at 7-2 in singles competition.  

The weekly laurel is the first for Thrash.
