Softball Splits with Thiel

Greenville, Pa - The Bethany College softball team took on the Thiel Tomcats in a PAC doubleheader Wednesday afternoon. The Bison and Tomcats split.  

Game One Overview

Bethany edged Thiel, 6-3  

The Bison struck first scoring in the second inning from a Kathleen Fuchs single up the middle scoring Tyra Bell. In the third inning Kayla Dinsmore drove in Erica Amoroso. Thiel tied the game in the bottom half of the inning, 2-2. In the bottom of the fourth, the Tomcats took a 3-2 lead. The Bison knotted the game at three in the sixth inning. The green and white took a 6-3 lead in the seventh inning. Erica Amoroso singled driving in Janaya Hazlip. Kayla Dinsmore drove in Lauren Maichle and Amoroso.

Game Two Overview
Bethany fell 9-1 (F/5)

The Tomcats jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead. In the top of the fifth the Bison battled to get a run across. Erica Amoroso drove in Lauren Maichle for the Bison's lone run.
