Softball Drops Two Against Saint Vincent

Bethany, W.Va - The Bethany College softball team took on the Saint Vincent Bearcats in a PAC doubleheader on Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats swept the Bison. The green and white conclude their 2019 season 10-22 (7-9 PAC).

Game One Overview

Bethany falls 16-2 to Saint Vincent (5 Innings)

The Bison took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Jen Oberthur hit a two-run homerun over the left field fence. The Bearcats bats came alive in the third inning scoring nine runs off nine hits. Saint Vincent led 10-2 after three and tacked on six runs in the fourth to take a 16-2 lead. The Bison needed to score in the fifth inning to keep the game alive but the green and white went three up and three down.

Bethany falls 21-1 to Saint Vincent (5 Innings)

The Bearcats were in cruise control in game two, scoring 21 runs. Bethany scored their lone run in the fifth inning. Janaya Hazlip reached on an error and scoring off of a Kate Mills single.
