Women's Soccer Wins Double Overtime Thriller

Match Overview

The Bethany College women's soccer team hosted the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets in a PAC contest early Saturday morning. The Bison and Yellow Jackets went into a thrilling double overtime contest with the green and white winning the battle off a free kick goal from the foot of Riley Meyers. Bethany defeated Waynesburg, 3-2.

Waynesburg struck first in the 72^nd minute of the contest. Minutes later, Grace Chambers hit the back of the net in the 76^th minute off the pass of Riley Meyers. The Bison and Yellow Jackets exchanged goals later in the second half. After Waynesburg took the lead, Gabby Capaldi scored to knot the game at 2-2.

The Bison and Yellow Jackets held each other scoreless in the first overtime. In the 105^th minute of the game, the green and white captured the win with a Riley Meyers free kick goal. With the win, the Bison earned their first victory on the season.
