LATROBE, Pa. (Oct. 18) – The Bethany College volleyball team earned a 3-0 win (25-19, 25-21, 25-20) over Saint Vincent to open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play Wednesday night inside the Carey Center.

MATCH NOTES

  • Bethany's hitters got better as the match went along. The Bison hit .176 in their first set win, .257 in the second set and closed the match hitting .312 with 18 kills.
  • Sophomore Katie Sparks (Macedonia, Ohio/Trinity) was the team's top offensive threat. She hit .444 for the night with a kill-dig double-double with team-highs of 14 kills and 16 digs. Sparks also tacked on three service aces to her final line.
  • Senior Sumayyah Muhammad (Warren, Ohio/Warren G. Harding) added 10 kills on 23 attacks (.348 hitting percentage) and added one block.
  • Junior Reilly Parker (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) was the matched Sparks with 16 kills on defense.
