Baseball: Bison Hot Streak Extends to Six After Extra Inning Win over Lions
Hopwood, Pa. – The Bethany College baseball team faced Penn State-Fayette in a non-conference single game tilt Tuesday evening.

Both teams were held scoreless until the third inning. Stef Blackstone singled to score Mike Hines to take a 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the third, the Lions took the lead, 3-1 over the Bison. The Bison cut the lead, 3-2 after Michael Whiteherse scored on a wild pitch. The Lions extended their lead by two after a homerun. Bethany regained the lead in the sixth inning. Cameron Schaub hit a homerun cutting the lead to 4-3. Quest Wilson singled driving in Cory Newman and Grant Shaffner. The Bison led 5-4 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning. The Lions knotted the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the sixth. Both teams battled into the tenth inning. The Bison took the lead after Luke Beatty hit a homerun and Cory Newman scored on a balk. The Bison took the non-conference game 7-6.
