Whiteherse Tabbed PAC Special Team of the Week

BETHANY, WV. (BethanyBison.com) - Freshman punter Mike Whiteherse (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) of the Bethany College Football team was named to the special team of the week the Presidents' Athletic Conference announced Monday evening, Sept. 17. This marks the first weekly honor for the freshman and the Bison this season.

The Pittsburgh, Pa. native finished the night with a 37.7 yard average on six punts in the Bison's 22-13 Saturday night, Sept. 15, win over Waynesburg College. Whiteherse dropped 3-of-6 inside the Yellow Jacket's 20-yard line and forced fair catches on 4-of-6. The freshman was a tremendous help to the Green and White's defensive effort, pushing Waynesburg's average starting field position to their own 25-yard line following his six punts.

Whiteherse and the Bison continues with PAC play this weekend, when they travel to New Wilmington, Pa. to take on Westminster College, Saturday, Sept. 22.
