BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College football team hosted the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets in a PAC matchup Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets edged the Bison, 35-26.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Waynesburg struck first in the first quarter, leading 7-0.
- The Bison were able to get on the board after Markel Ross picked off the Yellow Jackets for a 39-yard touchdown interception return. The Bison trailed 7-6 with 6:53 in the half.
- The Yellow Jackets scored to extend the lead to 14-6, but the Bison were able to cut the deficit with two seconds to go in the first half. Jack Sella hit a 36-yard field goal.
- Bethany trailed 14-9 at the half.
- The Bison scored first in the third quarter with a 30-yard field goal from Jack Sella.
- Waynesburg followed the field goal with a 21-yard touchdown run, extending the lead to 21-12.
- Bethany scored two minutes later on a 7-yard touchdown run from Charlie Mills. Less than two minutes later, the Bison scored again when Miles Goffe threw to Tre Dean for a 24-yard touchdown pass.
- The Bison led 26-21 heading into the fourth quarter.
- In the fourth quarter Waynesburg scored 14 points to take the win.
BY THE NUMBERS
- (325) – The Bison had 325 yards of total offense.
- (371) – The Yellow Jackets rushed for 371 yards.
LEADERS
- Quarterback Miles Goffe went 10-for-23 with 104 yards and one touchdown.
- Charlie Mills led the running game with 95-yards and one touchdown. TJ Owensby added 90-yards on the ground.
- Tre Dean led the Bison with four receptions. He had one touchdown and 39-yards.
- Defensively, Markel Ross led the Bison with eight tackles. He had one interception for a pick-six.
- Amarion Williams forced and recovered a fumble.

Bethany returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 11 when they host Saint Vincent College for their final matchup of the season. Kickoff is set for 1 pm on Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium.
