Men's Basketball Defeated by Yellow Jackets

Waynesburg, Pa. – The Bethany College men's basketball traveled to Waynesburg University for a  Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) contest Saturday afternoon. Bethany fell to the Yellow Jackets, 68-43. Freshmen Travis Zimmerman led the Bison with 12 points and seven rebounds.

GAME OVERVIEW

After the Jackets opened up the game with a 4-0 lead, the Bison responded with buckets from Travis Zimmerman and Asa Klimchock to tie the game at 4-4. Moments later, the Jackets responded with two more points, from that moment on, the Bison would trail for the remainder of the afternoon. In the late minutes of the first half, the Bison continued to climb back to cut the deficit to four, 27-23. However a late three-pointer gave the Jackets a 30-24 lead heading into the intermission.

Bethany opened up the second half by scoring the first points of the half and trailed by four in the first minute of the second half. Unfortunately, for the Green and White, the Jackets would string together their best run of the night which allowed Waynesburg to pull away for the victory.
