Match Overview
The Bethany College men's soccer team hosted the Chatham University Cougars in a PAC match on the turf of Bison Stadium Saturday afternoon. The Bison and Cougars ended in a draw, 3-3, after neither team was able to score the golden goal in two overtime periods.
Chatham struck first scoring at the 5:46 mark. The Bison landed on the scoreboard after Ilyas Elalama scored. Freshman Buba Jawara gave the Bison the lead after heading the ball into the back of the net. The Bison added one more goal before the half from another Jawara goal. Bethany led 3-1 at the half.
In the second half, the Cougars were able to squeeze two goals past the Bison defense, with the final goal coming at the 83:26 mark. Both teams were held scoreless in the overtime periods.
