ECAC names Baehr Player of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. (March 22) - Bethany College junior Aubrey Baehr (Evans City, Pa./Seneca Valley) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Division Hitter of the Week announced the organization Wednesday.

Baehr, who was also named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Hitter of the Week, earned the award after hitting .416 (10-for-24) with a team-high seven RBI last week. She also led the Bison with five extra-base hits, including a home run and four doubles, and scored six runs. In the team's 9-8 come-from-behind win over Salve Regina, Baehr came through in the seventh inning with a two-out, two-RBI single to tie the game and send it into extra innings where the Bison went on to win.

Baehr and the rest of the Bison will make their season-debut on the Bison Field surface when they host Marietta on Thursday, March 23 for a doubleheader starting at 3:30 p.m.
