Mason Earns PAC Rookie of the Week Honors

Greenville, Pa – Bethany College women's basketball freshman guard Makenzee Mason (Lithopolis | Bloom-Carroll) was announced as Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Rookie of the week for her performance this past week.

Mason averaged 16.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists during Bethany's 2-1 week. She shot at a 50.0 percent (15-30) clip from the field and went 14-of-15 (93.3%) from the free throw line.

In Tuesday's win over Waynesburg, Mason had 16 points, four rebounds and three assists, before finishing with 16 points, four rebounds and five assists in Thursday's victory over Thiel. She finished with 17 points and six rebounds in Saturday's loss to Grove City.

Mason is averaging 14.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.7 steals on the season.

The weekly laurel is Mason's second.

The Bison await seeding for the Presidents' Athletic Conference tournament, which begins on March 13-20. All schools able to participate in the championship tournament will be seeded. The championship tournament will feature a first round, quarterfinal round, semifinal round and title game.
