Women's Lacrosse: Bison Suffer Home Loss vs Barons
BETHANY- The Bethany Bison looked to bounce back in a home game against the Fransciscan Barons. While the offense got hot early, the sticks eventually cooled down and the Bison suffered another Presidents Athletic Conference loss.

How It Happened

The Bison once again found their offense in the game against the Barons. Bethany scored two solo goals- one from Gracie Gonzolaz and another by Jada Carter -to start the game the right way.

Fraciscan answered back with a 5-0 run to take a 5-2 lead with some time remaining in the first period.

Bethany bookends period one with two more goals to bring the Bison within one score. Fransiscan held a 5-4 lead.

Both teams traded goals in the early parts of the second period to create a 7-6 game. Fransican went on another run blanking the Bison for the rest of the quarter and growing their lead into halftime.

The Bison faced a five goal deficit coming out of halftime. The offense scored three goals, but was ultimately unable to catch up to the Barons. Fransican maintained a four goal lead entering the fourth.

Bethany hit double digits in the fourth, but were unable to mount together a heap of scores to come away with a win.

Abbie Carpenter and Carter led the Bison with four goals each.

Janez Matthews caused a team leading five turnovers.

Madison Wagoner came into the game and led in save percentage with a .500 on the game. She had five saves in just over 16 minutes.

The Bison will host the final game of their season. It will be a Presidents Athletic Conference matchup against the Thiel Tomcats. That game will be played on Saturday, April 27th.
