Brandon Thorsen is entering his first year with the Bethany men’s basketball staff in 2021.

Thorsen comes to Bethany after serving as an assistant coach at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School where he oversaw guard play and was responsible for post-practice and post-game film edits and team scouting reports.

Prior to USMAPS, he spent time as the head boys’ basketball coach at Bethal Park middle school. Thorsen has spent time working and assisting in various camps including West Point Elite Camp and NCAA College Basketball Academy.

Thorsen was a member of Penn State-Behrend’s basketball team for four years. During his time at Behrend, the Lions had an 85-30 record, made three ECAC appearances, one AMCC (Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference) championship and one NCAA appearance.

The Bethel Park native, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics and Finance.
