Bio

Lucas Worrell joined the men’s basketball staff in 2021.

Prior to Bethany he was the graduate assistant on the Ashland University men's basketball coaching staff for the last two seasons.

Worrell helped Ashland capture its first Greak Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Championship ever and advanced to the round of 32 in the NCAA tournament. The Eagles' win in the NCAA Tournament was the program's first since 1991. 

He spent the 2018-19 season as an assistant coach at MacMurray (Ill.) College, where he worked in all areas of the program, including practice and game planning, talent evaluation, recruiting, and travel.

The Illinois College graduate was an assistant on the men's basketball staff at his alma mater in 2017-18, helping in all areas of the program.

Worrell, a native of Jacksonville, Ill., earned his bachelor's degree in psychology in 2017.
