MVB: Bison End Spring Break in Virginia

ROANOKE, Va. – Bethany College men's volleyball made it three tri-meets in a calendar week with this competition against Randolph College and Roanoke College. While the Bison played Randolph more competitively than the first time around, the Green and Gold ultimately fell in both matches.

Bethany had a better bead on Randolph compared to their match a few days ago. Instead of being swept 3-0 in convincing fashion, the Bison took a set from the Wildcats (25-22). The Bison then lost the final two sets 25-23, a much closer result than their first match.

Riley Burdett led the team with 12 kills. He added a block assist to lead with 12.5 points. Tyler Johnson had a solid performance, putting up nine kills and a block assist.

Ryaln Trapp continues to put up sneaky good performances. He had six kills, but was very effective hitting .417. The big man also posted a block assist and an ace.

It's worth noting role playing performances. Libero Cole Thomas dug 11 balls. Setter Logan Mills helped his team with 34 assists.

Burdett was the team leader in kills and points for the second game too. He had six kills and an ace in only two sets played. Johnson and Mills each had seven digs. The Bison lost in three sets.

The Bison will have a week off before returing to Presidents Athletic Conference play. Bethany will travel to Thiel Friday, March 21st. First serve will be at 6 p.m.
