Mailloux Leads Bethany in Lacrosse PAC  Honors

Greenville, Pa – Freshman midfielder Cassidy Mailloux was selected to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Second Team, which was announced early Tuesday morning. Ballots for the all-conference teams and annual award winners were voted on by the PAC's eight head coaches.

Mailloux finished season with 12 goals and scooped up 34 groundballs for the Bison. The Bell River, Ontario native led the Bison in draw controls (43), caused turnovers (24), and shot percentage (40.0%). Mailloux was third on the team in goals (12), points (12), and groundballs (34). She registered the Bison's first goal as a varsity program.

In addition to Mailloux, freshman Trinity Dixon was named All-PAC honorable mention and freshman Sarah Sberna was named to the PAC Sportsmanship Team.

Dixon was second in the PAC in save percentage (.457) and led the PAC in saves per game (13.53). The Bowie, Maryland native was named PAC Defensive Player of the Week in March for her career high 20 save victory against Muskingum for Bethany's first win in program history.

Bethany women's lacrosse concluded their inaugural season 3-12 (1-6).  

On the men's side, senior defender Nick Holmes and freshman goalie Andrew Smith were named to the All-PAC honorable mention team.

Holmes finished the season with 24 caused turnovers and scooped up 27 groundballs. The Brooklyn, NY native started for the Bison in all 13 games and was second on the team in caused turnovers and sixth on the team in groundballs.

Smith led the PAC in saves per game (15.54) and was fifth in the PAC in save percentage (.535). The Erie, Pa native was named PAC Rookie of the Week in April and tallied 197 saves in his first season between the posts.

The Bethany men's lacrosse team finished the 2019 season 4-10 (1-6).
