Men's Soccer: Bison fall to Tartans

BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College men's soccer hosted Carnegie Mellon University Tartans in a non-conference match on Hoag Field Saturday afternoon.

THE MATCHUP

  • Carnegie Mellon 4, Bethany 1

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Tartans scored the first goal of the match in the 14th minute when Josh Baugh found Dominic Hoar-Weiler.
  • They continued momentum in the 38th minute scoring two goals within 23 seconds to take a 3-0 lead over the Bison.
  • In the second half, Josh Baugh tacked on another goal, on a free kick that hit the right post and went in.
  • The Bison were able to get on the board in the 77th minute when Dequan Samuel found the back of the net.

MATCH NOTES

  • Carnegie Mellon outshot Bethany, 14-4 with six on goal.
  • The Tartans attempted six corner kicks to the Bison's one.
