Daugherty named All-PAC Second Team

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. (Feb. 24) - Senior forward Kelsea Daugherty (Newport, Ohio/Frontier) was selected to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Second Team, which was announced between semifinal games at the PAC Tournament Friday night.

Daugherty finished the season ranked third in scoring (18.2 ppg.) and second in rebounding (9.4 rpg.) in the PAC. The Newport, Ohio native had the sixth-highest field goal percentage, shooting 49 percent on the season (185 of 380) and was among the top-10 with 32.1 minutes per game played.

Daugherty closed out one of the most prolific careers in Bethany history. She ranks third all-time with 1,731 points and second all-time with 968 rebounds. Daugherty is also one of only two players in school history with 1,500 points and 900 rebounds, joining former Bison Kelley Richardson (2000-04).

In addition to Daugherty, freshman Katie Hart (Lowell, Ohio/Fort Frye) was selected to the inauguaral PAC Women's Basketball Sportsmanship team. 

Bethany recently ended the season at 12-15 overall. The Bison have posted back-to-back double-digit win totals under second-year Head Coach Brian Sansom and won their first PAC Championship Tournament game since 2012 when they defeated Geneva in an opening round game.
