Weiss Named All-PAC Second Team

Latrobe, Pa (Feb. 22) - Senior guard Sammie Weiss was selected to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Second Team, which was announced between semifinal games at the PAC Tournament Friday night.

Weiss finished the season ranked second in free throw percentage (83.6%), 11th in scoring average (12.9) and 13th in rebounds (6.3). The Taylorstown, Pa native led the Bison in scoring and free throw percentage while ranking second in rebounds and third in shooting percentage (42.0 %).

In addition to Weiss, senior Taylor Large was selected to the PAC Women's Basketball Sportsmanship team.

Bethany recently ended their 2018-19 campaign finishing 13-13 (8-8). The Bison have now posted 12 or more wins and made the PAC tournament in three straight years since third year head coach Brian Sansom took over the reins. The green and white finished over .500 (13-12) in the regular season for the first time since the 2011-12 season.
