Nadim Raddar Earns PAC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

Oct. 26 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – After helping lead the Bethany College football team to a 41-15 victory over Geneva College on Saturday, Bison senior defensive end Nadim Raddar (Laurel, Md./Old Mill) has been selected as the Presidents' Athletic Conference Player of the Week, announced the PAC on Monday afternoon.

Raddar had a career game on the defensive front last week, posting a career-high 5.0 tackles for loss. He also tied a career best with 3.5 sacks while posting 12 total tackles (six solo, six assisted). With his efforts, the Green & White totaled season highs in both sacks (8.0) and tackles for loss (13.0).

The defensive effort marked the second solid game in a row for Raddar as he has now totaled seven tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in his last two outings. An American Football Coaches' Association First-Team All-American selection following his junior season, Raddar is once again closing in on the marks that earned him that distinction a season ago. His tackle for loss total (15.5) currently leads the PAC, while his sack total sits second (9.0).

Raddar is the third Bison football player to earn a PAC Player of the week award, joining offensive standout Eric Blinn (Beaver, Pa./Western Beaver) and linebacker Donavan Hayden (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern). Blinn earned Offensive Player of the Week honors in week two, while Hayden was tabbed as the Defensive Player of the Week in Week four.

Raddar and the Bison will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 31 when they host Grove City College for Senior Day at Bison Stadium. The matchup with the Wolverines is slated for a 1:30 p.m. start.
