Men's Golf selected eighth in PAC Preseason Poll

Aug. 25 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Bethany College men's golf team was picked to finish eighth in 2016 in the recent Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Bison finished with nine points.

Defending champion Grove City was picked to defend their title, tallying four first place votes and 56 points. Saint Vincent was not far behind with 55 points while garnering two first place marks. Washington and Jefferson, Thiel, and Thomas More rounded out the top-five with the Presidents and Saints each picking up a first place vote.

Bison sophomore Ryan Senka was named as a player to watch in the PAC. In last season's PAC Fall Tournament, Senka led Bethany with a 165 over two days to finish 23rd overall. In the 2016 Spring PAC Tournament, Senka shot a 79, one of his lowest scores of the year.

The Fall PAC Championships will be held on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4 at Avalon Golf and Country Club in Warren, Ohio. The final 36 holes will be played in the spring at Cedarbrook Golf Course in Belle Vernon, Pa.
