Men's Volleyball: Bison battle Cougars
BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College men's volleyball team hosted Chatham University inside Hummel Field House, Tuesday evening. The Cougars swept the Bison, 3-0.
THE MATCHUP
- Chatham 3, Bethany 0 (25-16, 26-24, 25-16)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bison started the match cold, trailing by 15-5 with the Cougars holding all of the momentum. The Green and White attempted to chip away but would fall 25-16 in the first set.
- Chatham took an early 5-1 lead in the second set. The Bison would battle and knot the set at 7-7. It was a back-and-forth affair through the rest of the match. After trailing 20-15, Bethany scored three points to cut the deficit. The Cougars led by 24-22 but the Bison would not back down. After an attack error and service ace, the Bison were deadlocked with the Cougars at 24-24. Chatham scored the next two points to take the second set.
- In the third set, the Cougars held all of the momentum to seal the sweep.

- Tyler Johnson led the Bison with eight kills.
- Rylan Trapp had three service aces.
- Alexander Blair had 15 assists.
