Defiance, Ohio – Bethany College women's soccer opened up the Purple and Gold Classic with a 2-0 win over Rochester (Mich.) Saturday afternoon.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman Mary Marshall scored the Bison's first goal at the 16:50 mark off a pass from freshman Jayda Larsen.
- Kiara Marchincin registered the Bison's second goal at the 26:36 mark.
- Bethany held Rochester scoreless through the first half. Rochester scored in the 87th minute breaking the shutout.
