Football Gears Up for 2022 Season at PAC Media Day

LATROBE, Pa. – Bethany College first-year head coach Brandon Robinson and senior defensive end Jordan Aldridge (Wheeling, W.Va. | Wheeling Park) represented the Bison at the annual Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Football Media Day at the Sis and Herman Dupré Science Pavilion on the campus of Saint Vincent College Wednesday afternoon.

The Bison are picked to finish 10th by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) coaches, sports information directors, and media. Westminster is the league-favorite, while Washington & Jefferson College and Carnegie Mellon  round out the top-three.

Aldridge is one of six Bison named to the PAC Players to Watch list. Joining Aldridge on the list are seniors De'Vaughn McWhorter (Wheeling, W.Va. | Wheeling Park), Colton Stoneman (West Farmington, Ohio), and Aaron Baird (Midway, Pa. | Fort Cherry) and juniors Rondell Lewis (Beachwood, Ohio | Beachwood) and Brennon Smith (McDonald, Pa. | Fort Cherry).

Following a brief welcome by PAC Commissioner Joe Onderko, Ed Farrell was honored as the 2022 recipient of the Dow Carnahan Media Award. Farrell worked for newspapers for approximately 40 years, including the Jefferson (Ohio) Gazette, Greenville (Pa.) Record-Argus, Franklin (Pa.) News-Herald, and Sharon (Pa.) Herald--the latter, three months into his 27th year.

The Bison open up the 2022 season at Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium on Sept. 3, against Hiram College. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
