Track and Field: Multiple Bison Break School Records at PAC Championships
Morgantown, W.Va – Bethany College hosted the Presidents' Athletic Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday evening and Friday at the Track and Field complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown, West Virginia. The Bison women finished fifth with a total of 65 points and the men finished seventh with 57 points. Concluding the meet, Allison Paxton and Jack Gilman were named to the PAC Sportsmanship team.
Senior Riley Meyers led the Bison winning both the 100m hurdles and the 400m hurdles. Her 14.87 time broke the school record. Meyers currently sits 7th in the NCAA for the 400m hurdles to qualify for Nationals.
Freshman Nina Wilke finished second in the 800m breaking the school record with a time of 2:19.59.
On Friday evening, Shae Reinbeau finished third in the 10000m. Her time of 40:10.03 broke the school record. Reinbeau also finished fifth in the 5000m with a time of 18:44.81.
The Bison men had four top ten finishes in the 200m with Qujuan McGlothin finished 4th, Keyohn Thompson (5th), Hunter Klein (6th), Devon Campbell (7th).
Keyohn Thompson finished second in the 100m with a time of 11:03.
The Men's 4x100 (Pinn, McGlothin, Campbell, Thompson) finished third with a time of 44.10. The Women's 4x400 (Meyers, Hofmann, Clark, Wilke) finished third with a time of 4:21.00.
Klein finished his career as a Bison with a top three finish in the 400m, finishing third ( ) and Qujuan McGlothin finished 4th.
The Bison had top ten finishes from newcomers. Freshman Grace Tice finished third in the javelin throw with a toss of 32.49m, freshman Joseph Pinn finished 4th in the men's long jump (6.29m). Freshman Lynn Burton finished 3rd in shot put with a mark of 10.45m.
Junior Kelsie Meintel finished 7th in the discus (32.30m) and 4th in shot put (10.39m).
Ben Fedoush finished 4th (38.18m) and Tommy Roberts finished 7th (35.89m).
