Volleyball: Five Bison Named to All-PAC Teams

Greenville, Pa. – The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its 2021 All-PAC women's volleyball teams and conference award winners Tuesday Afternoon. Five Bethany College players were named to All-PAC teams.

Juniors Riley Felton and Alaina Torres were joined by sophomore Emma Marthins who earned All-PAC First Team honors.

Senior Jess Moore earned All-PAC Second Team while sophomore Lynn Burton earned PAC Sportsmanship honors.

Middle Hitter Marthins finished the season leading the PAC in blocks (87) and hitting percentage (.309). The Elkridge, Maryland native finished with 218 kills and earned PAC Defensive Player of the Week honors the week of October 18.

Middle Hitter Felton finished the season sixth in the PAC in blocks (72) and ninth for hitting percentage (.225). She totaled 202 kills and earned PAC Defensive Player of the Week honors the week of November 1. The Salineville, Ohio native had 29 service aces and recorded 99 digs.

Setter Torres finished second in the PAC for assists (940) and eighth for service aces (36). She recorded 9.31 assists per set and had 34 kills. Defensively, Torres finished with 189 digs and 16 blocks.

Outside Hitter Moore finished fourth in the PAC for kills (320) and points (357.0). She also finished tenth for hitting percentage (.219). She averaged 3.17 kills per set and 15 service aces. The Stewartstown, Pa. native totaled 40 blocks (four solo) and 122 digs. She was named PAC Player of the Week twice this season.

Setter Lynn Burton appeared in 11 sets before suffering a season ending injury.

Bethany concluded their season 17-11 (13-5 PAC) after falling the top-seeded Westminster in the PAC Championship last Saturday. The Bison have advanced to the PAC Championship match five times since 2011 with the last PAC Championship coming 2018.
