Bethany places 41 on Presidents’ Athletic Conference Honor Roll

Greenville, Pa. (Jan. 22) - Bethany College featured 41 student-athletes on the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) 2018 Fall Academic Honor Roll announced the league office.

Leading the way for Bethany were the women's volleyball team, who placed 10 student-athletes on the list. Women's soccer were next with seven followed by women's cross country (5), men's soccer (5), and men's cross country (2).

The PAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes on varsity sports teams who have earned a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale during their semester of competition.

Last year (2017-18), a combined total of 1,151 PAC student-athletes were recognized on the PAC Academic Honor Rolls (563 fall, 588 spring), 89 more than the league's previous all-time high of 1,062, established during the 2016-17 academic year.

Waynesburg University led the nine full-time league schools and two affiliate members with 71 student-athletes earning PAC Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. Grove City College was next with 68 and was followed by Geneva College (64), Saint Vincent College (50), Westminster College (49), Washington & Jefferson College (44), Bethany College (40), Chatham University (38), Carnegie Mellon University (33), Case Western Reserve University (33) and Thiel College (33).
