Swimming and Diving Conclude 2018 at Cabrini

Bethany, W.Va. – The swimming and diving team concluded the 2018 season at Cabrini Saturday afternoon. The men's team dropped the meet 164-87 to Cabrini, while the women were lapped in tri-meet to Cabrini and Franciscan, 148-31 and 203-27.

Micki Webster (Moon Township, Pa/ Moon Area) led the women winning the 200 freestyle with a time of two minutes 10.84 seconds and placing fourth in the 100 breaststroke hitting the wall one minute 22.32 seconds.

The men were led by senior Cheyne Stresky (Oxford, Mich/ Oxford) who won three events for the Bison. Stresky finished first in the 100 backstroke hitting the wall in 58.19 seconds. In the 200 butterfly Stresky hit the wall first with a time of two minutes 15.36 seconds. Stresky finished first in the 200 backstroke tapping the wall in the time two minutes 08.14 seconds.

The Bison men were also led by Damon Chafins (Calcutta, Ohio/ Beaver Local), Chandler Chafins (Calcutta, Ohio/ Beaver Local), and Mark Tichenor (Pittsburgh, Pa/ Brentwood). D. Chafins finished second in the 50 freestyle (25.34) and 100 freestyle (54.13). C. Chafins finished second in the 200 freestyle tapping the wall in two minutes 09.93 seconds. Tichenor finished second in both the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke hitting the wall at one minute 08.58 and two minutes 35.25 seconds.

The Swimming and Diving team will return back to the pool after the holidays, when they take on Penn State Altoona on Jan. 12. in Knight Natatorium.
