Women's Lacrosse Tabbed Seventh in PAC Preseason Poll

Greenville, Pa - The Bethany College women's lacrosse team was picked to finish seventh in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released Wednesday afternoon along with the league's Players to Watch list.

The Washington & Jefferson Presidents were picked to finish first in the PAC followed by Westminster and Franciscan.

Saint Vincent was selected fourth and was followed by Chatham University in fifth, Theil College in sixth, Bethany College in seventh and Waynesburg University in eighth.

The Bison are led by third year head coach Liz Geyer, as she coaches in the Bison in their second season as a varsity program at Bethany. The Green and White are led by sophomore duo Trinity Dixon (Bowie, Md. | Bishop McNamara) and Rikiah Wise (Upper Marlboro, Md. | Bishop McNamara). Freshman Elizabeth Poletis (La Plata, Md. | McDonough) rounds out the Players to Watch list for the Bison.

Dixon led the Bison in the net last season with 202 saves and a save percentage of 46.0. The All-PAC Honorable Mention tallied 20 plus saves twice last season both in wins against Muskingum and Waynesburg.

Wise returns as the Bison's leading scorer. She led the Green and White with 19 points and 19 goals. In the Bison's first PAC 14-5 win over Waynesburg, Wise scored a career-high five goals.

The Bison will open the 2020 season of competition on the road against Marietta, on February 22. Face off is set for 4 pm.
