Bison Women's Soccer Selected Ninth in PAC Preseason Poll
Aug. 18 - GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Bethany College women's soccer team was picked to finish in a tie for ninth place in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced the PAC on Tuesday afternoon.
The defending conference champion, Thomas More Saints were picked to defend their title for the 2016 season. They received 98 points with eight first-place votes. Washington and Jefferson was tabbed second with 89 points.
The conference also released a list of players to watch with Bethany featuring four players. Seniors Julie Slezak (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe), Sarah London (Whitehouse Station, N.J./Hunterdon Central), and Brittany Fullbright (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) along with junior Michaela Hinerman (Weirton, W.Va./Brooke) all made the list.
Fullbright led the way for the Bison in 2015, earning Honorable Mention All-PAC status. As a junior she totaled nine and 20 points while starting in all 17 games at midfield.
The Bison women's soccer team opens the upcoming season on Sept. 2 at Pitt-Greensburg before returning for their home opener on Sept. 5 against Marietta. They then open PAC play on Oct. 1 when they travel to Waynesburg University.
