Sept. 27 - CRESSON, Pa. - The Bethany women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Mount Aloysius in their final non-conference game of the season.
In the first half, Brittany Fullbright (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) was unable to put the Bison ahead after she had a shot ring off the crossbar. The two teams would play a scoreless half.
In the 56th minute, the Mounties got on the board when Katie Mirance scored on a through ball.
Michaela Hinerman (Weirton, W.Va./Brooke) had a break away chance in the second half but was not able to find the back of the net to highlight Bethany's second-half chances as they were unable to net the equalizer.
For the Bison, Anna Riddle (Mt. Pleasant, Pa./Mt. Pleasant) registered five saves while Fullbright had three shots.
With the loss, Bethany sits at 2-6 entering Presidents' Athletic Conference play. They travel to Waynesburg on Saturday for a 2:00 p.m. start.
