Women's Soccer: Strong Second Half Lifts Bison over Panthers

Bradford, Pa.  – The Bethany College women's soccer team traveled north to Pitt-Bradford for a non-conference match Thursday afternoon at the Kessel Athletic Complex. The Bison scored three goals in the second half to defeat the Panthers 3-2.  

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Panthers held a 1-0 lead through the first half
  • Kaitlin Pickett scored in the 69th minute to knot the score at 1-1
  • The Bison took a 2-1 lead after Jayda Larsen scored in the 83rd minute
  • After a penalty kick goal, Kaitlin Pickett gave the Bison a 3-1 lead
  • The Panthers attempted to make a comeback, scoring in the 87th minute making the game 3-2

BY THE NUMBERS

  • Freshman Kaitlin Pickett has scored six goals and has two assists thus far on the season
  • Freshman Jayda Larsen picked up her third goal on the season and second assist in the non-conference match
  • Junior Corinne Grabow registered three saves
