Bison women host Bethany Invitational

BETHANY, W.Va. (March 31) - The Bethany College women's track & field team hosted its annual Bethany Invitational at Bison Stadium and Hoag Field Saturday.

Senior Ashley Borsch led the track athletes by qualifying for the finals of the 100-meter dash, where she finished eighth with a time of 13.47 seconds.

Junior Patience Frazier (Washington, Pa./Washington) was the top thrower for the Bison. She had the sixth-best throw in the javelin with a mark of 32.91 meters (108 feet) and also finished 13th in the shot put with a heave of 10.35 meters (33 feet, 11.5 inches).

Junior Leighanna Frantz (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) finished seventh overall in the high jump, clearing 1.42 meters (four feet, 7.75 inches), to lead the Bison in the jumps.

The Bison are back on the track next week when they travel to Alliance, Ohio for the Mount Union Invitational on Saturday, April 7.
