Julbert Named Director of Student Athlete Success

Bethany, W.Va – Director of Athletics Steve Thompson has announced the hiring of Meighan Julbert as the Director of Student Athlete Success. Julbert was hired as part of the Division III Ethnic Minorities and Women's Internship Grant that Bethany College was awarded earlier this summer.

Julbert comes to Bethany College after serving as a mental skills consultant at The MindSide LLC, in Birmingham, Alabama. In that position, she helped develop and execute mental skills training strategies with over 300 elite individual athletes and teams ranging from the youth to professional level in order to improve performance and support overall development. 

"I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to join Bethany College and its surrounding community" stated Julbert. "There is a rich history of success on this campus, and I am enthusiastic about the role that this position can play in helping further the development of the student-athletes."

Julbert has spent time in college athletics. Before becoming a skills consultant, she was the men's golf graduate assistant at the University of Tennessee. Prior to Tennessee, she was a basketball and softball coach at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Knoxville. During her undergrad at Auburn, Julbert was an administrative assistant and a men's basketball assistant.

She has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Auburn University and a master's degree in sport psychology and motor behavior from the University of Tennessee.
