Nine soccer members named to All-PAC teams; Grether Earns All-PAC Second Team

Greenville, Pa – Members of both Bethany College men's and women's soccer teams were honored as the Presidents' Athletic Conference released its All-Conference Teams early Thursday afternoon.

Men's soccer junior goal keeper, Torben Grether (Rheinfelden, Germany | Georg-Buchner) was selected to the All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Second Team.

Grether finished the season leading the PAC in saves (163) and saves per game (9.59). The junior goalkeeper led Division III in total saves and ranked third in saves per game. This is the second time Grether has earned All-PAC Second Team honors.

Along with Grether, teammates Tony Cirri (Eldersburg, Md. | Liberty), Ramiro Veiga (Buenos Aires, Argentina | San Roman), and Julius McPhun (Raleigh, N.C. | Wakefield) earned All-PAC Honorable Mention honors.

On the women's side, juniors Riley Meyers (DuBois, Pa | DuBois Central Catholic), Gabby Capaldi (Steubenville, Ohio | Catholic Central) and Grace Chambers (Uniontown, Pa | Laurel Highlands) were named All-Presidents' Athletic Conference Honorable Mention. The trio sparked the Bison offense this season, scoring 10 of the 11 goals this season. Meyers and Chambers each had four goals while Capaldi added two goals.

Freshman Kiara Marchincin and junior James Abbott (Swindon, United Kingdom | Matantha Christian) were Bethany's representatives on the PAC Sportsmanship Team.
