Cincinnati, Ohio – Bethany College men's basketball team finished the weekend facing Berea College at the Lauren Hill Classic hosted by Mount. St. Joseph Sunday afternoon. The Bison fell 88-67 to the Mountaineers.
GAME FLOW
- Derek White Jr. put the Bison on the board at the 18:45 mark of the first half.
- A Trent Uphold three knotted the game at 5-5. The Bison managed to take the lead twice in the first half before the Mountaineers went on a run to build a double-digit lead heading into halftime.
- An Asa Klimchock three before the buzzer brought the Bison within 20 (46-26) at the half.
- In the second half the Bison strung together a few runs but the Mountaineers answered back with runs of their own.
- At the 9:11 mark of the second half the Bison cut the Mountaineer lead to 14 and then cut the lead to 13 at the 5:51 mark but the Bison were unable to reach the single-digit mark.
- The Mountaineers would hold off the Bison and win by 20 points.
IN THE BOX SCORE
- Derek White Jr. led the Bison with 12 points, nine rebounds, six assists, three blocks and two steals.
- Brendan Riggs had 11 points with four rebounds and four assists.
- Travis Zimmerman and Trent Uphold had 10 points apiece.
BY THE NUMBERS
