Bethany, W.Va. – The Bethany College Men's basketball team hosted Bridgewater College in a non-conference matchup inside Hummel Field House Friday afternoon. The Eagles sank 16 three-pointers in a 102-80 victory over the Bison.
GAME FLOW
- The Bison pulled ahead early, taking a 14 point lead over the Eagles.
- Bridgewater pulled off a 22-8 run to knot the game at 35-35.
- The Eagles took the lead with six minutes to go in the first half and held on for a 14-point lead heading into halftime.
- The Bison shot 56.7 percent from the field while the Eagles shot 51.2 percent. The Eagles hit 10 three's while the Green and White hit six from behind the arc.
- Sophomore Travis Zimmerman made the first bucket in the second half for the Bison.
- Bethany cut the Bridgewater lead to 10 after Trent Uphold hit three with sixteen minutes to go in the second half.
- Unfortunately for the Bison, the Eagles strung together a 19-9 run to build the lead up to 20 points and take full control of the game.
IN THE BOX SCORE
- Sophomore Travis Zimmerman and junior Asa Klimchock led the Bison with 21 points apiece.
- Zimmerman led the Bison with nine rebounds.
- Brendan Riggs contributed 17 points, hitting five three's.
- Derek White Jr. added 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals.
