
Men's Basketball: Bethany's Comeback to Pitt-Greensburg Falls Short
Bethany, W.Va. – Sophomore Travis Zimmerman had a career-high 18 points in Bethany's 83-70 loss to Pitt-Greensburg Tuesday afternoon inside Hummel Field House.
GAME FLOW
- Zimmerman's layup lifted the lid on the game to give the Bison an early lead.
- It was a back-and-forth game in the opening minutes of the first half.
- The Bison and Bobcats were deadlocked at 14-14 with 13:31 to go in the first half.
- The Bobcats went on a 24-8 run to close out the first half. The Bison trailed by 16 at the break.
- Bethany's Neshawn Brown had back-to-back buckets to cut the lead to 14, then a Zimmerman fast break layup brought the lead to 12 with 16:42 to go in the second half. Moments later, a Brown layup brought the Bison within 10, 34-44, with 16:04 to go.
- Asa Klimchock hit from behind the arc to bring the Bison within single-digits.
- The Bobcats rebuilt their lead back to 16 but the Bison continued to chip away.
