MARIETTA, Ohio (Sept. 20) - A goal in the 108th-minute was the only blemish in the Bethany College men's soccer team's 1-0 double-overtime loss at Marietta Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both squads attempted six shots in the first half of play, with Marietta also attempting six corner kicks.
- Marietta finished the match by out-shooting 13-to-3 over the final 63 minutes of play.
- The first overtime period was played cautiously, as Marietta attempted the lone shot in the period which was stopped by freshman goalkeeper Torben Greather (Rheinfelden, Germany/Georg-Buchner).
- Bethany had its best chance to score in the second overtime period, but a shot by sophomore Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, Va./Fishburne Academy) sailed high.
- Marietta nearly ended the match in the 105th-minute, but a Marietta header attempt was turned away by a Bethany defender to keep the match scoreless.
- The Pioneers notched the golden-goal with one minute and two seconds left in the second overtime period. A Marietta shot was saved by Greather, but rebounded to the foot of Marietta's Andy Rolfes, who sent the ball into the net to end the match.

- Greather established a season-high with eight saves in the loss.
- Marietta held a 10-to-4 advantage in shots on goal.
