Men's Soccer: Christian Earns PAC Weekly Honors

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Bethany College men's soccer player Sheldon Christian earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Rookie of the Week honors for his performance in the Bison's opening week.

Christian assisted on Lucas Puebla's game-winning goal in Thursday's 2-1 season-opening win over Mount Aloysius, last year's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) champion, and scored a goal in Sunday's 3-0 win over La Roche. Scoreless at the half against the Red Hawks, his goal in the 54th minute proved to be the game-winning score. Jahzinho O'Garro assisted on the Christian goal.

The weekly laurel is his first of the season.

The Bison return to the pitch on Wednesday, Sept. 7 when they travel to Cleveland, Ohio to face Case Western Reserve in a non-conference contest at 7:30 p.m.
