Men's Soccer: Bison fall to Mounties in season opener

CRESSON, Pa. – Bethany College men's soccer team opened up their 2023 campaign on the road against non-conference opponent Mount Aloysius, Friday evening.

THE MATCHUP

• Mount Aloysius 2, Bethany 0

THE HIGHLIGHTS

• The Mounties took an early 1-0 lead in the 12^th minute of the match and held onto the narrow lead through the first half.
• In the second half, the Mounties added an insurance goal in the 73^rd minute to take a 2-0 lead over the Bison.

MATCH NOTES

• Bethany and Mount Aloysius were even with 11 shots each.
• Matteo Pintus registered two saves.
• Despite holding the corner kick advantage, 6-2, the Bison couldn't capitalize.
