Speedy tabbed PAC Field Athlete of the Week

Greenville, Pa (Jan.22) - Bethany College men's indoor track & field sophomore Michael Speedy (Irondale, Ohio/Edison) was announced as the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) male field athlete of the week for his performance last week at Pioneer Open for the Bison.

Speedy was the runner-up in the long jump Saturday at Marietta's Pioneer Open with a jump of 21 feet, 1.5 inches (6.44m) ... The effort is tied for the top spot in this season's PAC performance list.

The weekly laurel is the first for Speedy this season. Last season, Speedy claimed honors as ECAC and PAC Rookie of the week (Apr. 19) for Outdoor track and field and claimed first place in PAC indoor championships (Feb .22) for the long jump.
