
Women's Lacrosse: Second quarter surge too much for Bison in loss to Cougars
BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's lacrosse hosted Chatham University Wednesday evening in a PAC contest.

Records: Chatham (7-1, 3-0) Bethany (4-7, 0-3)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bethany battled Chatham early in the first period. The Bison scored first after Emily Wenger scooped up a groundball and went the distance to find the back of the net with 13:40 to go in the first. Chatham quickly tied and took the lead. With 5:29 to go, Karley Trinidad found the back of the net to tie the game at 2-2. The Cougars once again quickly responded to regain the lead. With 59 seconds to go in the first quarter, Trinidad would deadlock the game at 3-3.
- The second quarter did not play in Bethany's favor. Chatham quickly took advantage of the wet weather conditions and scored six goals over the first five minutes and would score 10 goals in the quarter. Alexa Taylor would score the Bison's lone goal of the quarter.
- Chatham extended their lead to 17-4 in the third. With three seconds left, Karley Trinidad found the back of the net for the Bison giving them their fifth goal of the game.
- In the fourth, Jada Carter and Cassidy Mailloux both contributed goals for the Bison.

- Karley Trinidad led the Bison with three goals.
- Emily Wenger had one goal and one assist. She added six groundballs and two caused turnovers.
- Jada Carter had one goal and one assist.
- Alexa Taylor and Cassidy Mailloux had one goal each.

- Chatham outshot Bethany, 33-15.
- The Cougars held the draw control advantage, 26-5.
