GREENVILLE, Pa. (Nov. 9) - Bethany College women's soccer freshman forward Riley Meyers (Dubois, Pa./Dubois Central Catholic) was named to the All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Second Team announced the league office Thursday morning.
The conference also announced that senior defender Taylor Sasak (Berea, Ohio/Berea-Midpark) was named to the PAC Sportsmanship Team.
Meyers wrapped up her rookie campaign with a team-leading seven goals this season (14 points), which ranked in a tie for fifth in the PAC at the conclusion of the regular-season. The Dubois, Pennsylvania native netted a pair of game-winning goals in 1-0 wins over Mount Aloysius and Thiel and helped the Bison double their win total from last season. Bethany recently wrapped up the 2017 campaign at 6-13 overall, including a 4-5 mark against PAC opponents.
Meyers is the first player at Bethany to be named to one of the top-two all-conference teams since Julie Lindenfelser in 2012. The Bison have had a total of four honorable mention selections over the past four seasons.
Sasak started all 19 games at defense for Bethany after spending the first three seasons of her career as a goalkeeper.
