Women's Soccer: Bison fall to Quakers

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Bethany College women's soccer team continued their road trip to Wilmington College, Sunday afternoon. The Quakers downed the Bison, 5-2.

THE MATCHUP

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Quakers took an early 1-0 lead just four minutes into the match. They added two more goals to take a 3-0 lead over the Green and White.
  • In the 30th minute, sophomore Brooke Fuleki scored the Bison's first goal of the season to put the Bison on the board.
  • The Quakers led 3-1 at the half.
  • Wilmington would add two more goals in the second half, taking a 5-1 lead.
  • Bethany's Jada Benjamin found the back of the net in the 65th minute.

  • Wilmington took an overwhelming 22 shots while holding the Bison to five.
  • 12 of the Quakers 22 shots were on goal.

  • Brooke Fuleki scored the Bison's first goal of the season and her fourth of her career.
