Women's Volleyball: Bethany draws Emory in first round of NCAA Regionals 

BETHANY, W.Va. – It was announced on Monday afternoon that Bethany College women's volleyball will travel to Lexington, KY to play in the NCAA Regional Tournament hosted by Transylvania University. The Bison earned an automatic bid into the tournament by virtue of winning the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship over Thiel College on Saturday.  

The Bison (17-12) will take on No. 6 ranked Emory University (21-6) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 10th at 12:30 pm. The Eagles earned an automatic bid into the tournament as a result of their UAA Championship victory. The meeting between the Bison and Eagles marks the first time the two will play in their programs' respective histories.  

No. 18 ranked Transylvania is matched up with Randolph-Macon (26-3). The winner of that match is set to play the winner of the Bison and Eagles contest in the second round on Friday. Carnegie Mellon (20-8) will face Southern Virginia University (27-7) while No. 10 Berry (23-4) will face Covenant (21-11) to round out the eight-team regional.  

The city of Pittsburgh is hosting the final eight regional winners for the NCAA Championship at UPMC Cooper Field House at Duquesne University hosted by Saint Vincent College from November 16-19 with the quarterfinals set for Wednesday, November 16. 

This marks Bethany's third NCAA Tournament appearance, all under head coach Courtney Hilyer.
